2012 Holiday Gift Guide

Savvy Shopper Central is preparing for the upcoming holiday season & getting a head start on our holiday gift guide. Our 2012 Holiday Gift Guide will run from October 1st through December 15th.

There are no fees to have a product featured in our holiday gift guide, but we do require a minimum value of $30 or more. You may send multiple products to meet the minimum.
If you would like to sponsor a giveaway, a prize is also required with a minimum value of $20.
To be included in our gift guide, all products must be received by November 15th. Anything received after November 15th will be placed in our review queue for after the first of the year.

In addition to product reviews and giveaways, we also offer Sponsor Spotlight posts and sidebar advertising. Please contact pr@savvyshoppercentral.com for current pricing and more details.

The following people are available to review your product(s):

Savanah (owner of SSC) and her husband have four little boys (7, 5, and double-trouble 2 1/2 year olds).
Kaycee is our 17-year-old fashion and beauty reviewer.
Shelby & her husband have one little boy (19 months) and are expecting their second child in February.
We also have a cat and several dogs available to review your pet products.

Seeking Bloggers: #Spa4Ma 2012

Bloggers are needed for the 2012 Spa for Ma Blog Hop Giveaway with referral rewards. It is scheduled to go live at 12:01 am EST on August 17, and end at 11:59 pm EST on August 31.
Blogger Requirements
  • You must have a family-friendly blog
  • You must pay the $5 participation fee (non-refundable; pays for the cash grand prize, advertising, and Referral Rewards – read about Referral Rewards below). Payment info is in the sign-up form.
  • You must place one of the Spa for Ma buttons or banners (each image’s size can be tweaked to fit your blog; ask if you need help) on your sidebar or above the fold at time of sign up and keep it there until the end of the event. The more who know, the more traffic! The button/banner must be visible from the home page of your blog and should not be added to a scrolling widget.
  • You are responsible for providing a giveaway prize worth a minimum of $50 that will help mom relax. Please, NO prizes for animals (yes, there are moms in the animal kingdom, but this event is for human moms); and NO adult items (please keep it G-rated!). If you’re in doubt, please ask.
  • You are allowed to have a maximum of TWO prizes/prize packs so long as each is worth the $50 minimum.
  • Join the Facebook group. Link to the group is in the sign-up form; we also ask for your Facebook name so non-participants can’t join the group.
  • You must post all the required info (intro items, links to the host and grand prize sponsors, buttons, disclosure, etc.) in your giveaway post.
Referral Rewards (aka RandR)
Since they’re charging a $5 participation fee this year, they are not only able to provide a cash grand prize (which all bloggers can also enter), but they are also able to PAY every participating blogger a Referral Reward (now THAT’s my kind of RandR!). If you are participating in this event and you refer another blogger, you receive $1. Refer 5 other bloggers and you’ll have earned your fee back. Refer more than that and you’re making a profit! Please say Savvy Shopper Central referred you.
Note: If you as a participating blogger drop out of the event, you will not receive your Referral Rewards (it will be added to the cash grand prize instead). This is to prevent people from joining just to gain Referral Rewards then dropping out.

Feed ‘Em Well Thanksgiving Giveaway – Seeking Participants

Tomorrow is Canada’s Thanksgiving, which means the US will be celebrating everything they have to be thankful before you know it. Unfortunately, some people are less fortunate than others & can’t even share a simple meal with their family & friends. So Adventures in Coupons thought up this great giveaway to help those in need. This year, one lucky winner will receive a $50.00 Walmart gift card to purchase their Thanksgiving dinner with!

Here are the specifics:

Giveaway will run from Oct 29, 2011 (12:01 am EDT) until Nov. 12, 2011 (11:59 pm EDT). Winner will be drawn Nov 13, 2011.  Prize will be mailed on Nov 14, 2011 via USPS Priority Mail to allow for package tracking. Review: Scentsy (#Spa4Ma Sponsor Spotlight)

I love candles. I love the gentle light they provide & to smell the great scents they can put off, but my four-year-old loves to blow them out. When I was introduced to Scentsy, I loved the idea of soft light, great selection of scents, and the ability to reuse them. No more throwing away holders, worrying about kids burning themselves, or my least favorite part of candles, a disappearing scent.

I’ve had my first full-size burner for about a year or so and still have my first 2 scent bars. By switching my scents out on a regular basis, I’m able to keep them smelling as great as when I got them. Unlike some wickless candles, these never burn away. Its so easy to switch scents that I do it almost every day.

Currently, they offer over 80 different scents and 3 sizes of warmers: Full-Size, Mid-Size, and Plug-In. I have a couple different full-size warmers as well as a plug-in.
